Answers

Kumana: questions, answered.

Is Kumana worth visiting?+

Yes — for birdwatchers, and for safari travellers who already know Yala. It is the quietest park in the south.

How do I get to Kumana?+

Easiest via Arugam Bay (1 hour). The southern access from Yala adds four hours by road.

Can I see leopard at Kumana?+

Yes — leopard sightings are possible, though less frequent than at Yala. Birdlife is the headline.
