What you're booking

A fully private honeymoon — your own chauffeur-guide, your own dates, no fixed itinerary. We design around the hotels you'd love and pace the route so you arrive at each one already relaxed.

The classic 10-night honeymoon route

Nights 1–3: Ceylon Tea Trails — three nights at the island's only Relais & Châteaux, all-inclusive, a private tea pluck and high tea on a bungalow lawn.

Nights 4–6: South coast — Cape Weligama, ANI Sri Lanka or Amanwella. Cliff-top suites or fully-staffed villas, a private chef beach dinner, an early-morning blue-whale charter from Mirissa.

Nights 7–8: Galle Fort — two nights at Amangalla inside the ramparts, evening cocktails at the rooftop bars, a private antiques tour of the fort.

Optional nights 9–10: Wild Coast Tented Lodge at Yala — leopard tracking with the property's lead naturalist, sundowners over the bush.

Common questions

What does a Sri Lanka honeymoon tour cost from the UK in 2026?+

£8,800–£12,000 per couple for a 10-night private honeymoon, land-only — Tea Trails, a south-coast cliff villa, Galle Fort, optional safari. Flights £1,500–£2,000 per couple in economy, more in premium.

Best length for a Sri Lanka honeymoon?+

10–12 nights is the sweet spot. 7 nights forces too much movement; 14 nights lets you add Maldives or a fourth region. Most of our UK honeymoon clients land on 10 or 12.

Are tours fully private?+

Yes. Every Serendib honeymoon is private — your own chauffeur-guide, your own car, no fixed dates, no shared anything. We never operate group departures.

What's the standard honeymoon route?+

Tea country (3 nights at Ceylon Tea Trails) → south coast (3 nights at Cape Weligama, ANI or Amanwella) → Galle Fort (2 nights at Amangalla). Optional: 2 nights safari at Wild Coast.

Honeymoon perks included?+

We arrange champagne on arrival, room upgrades where available, complimentary spa or dinner at most properties, and a private chef beach dinner on at least one night. All standard, no upcharge.

Sri Lanka or Maldives for honeymoon — or both?+

Combine if budget allows. 7 nights Sri Lanka + 4 nights Maldives gives variety + pure beach. Total £15,000–£22,000 per couple land-only. SriLankan Airlines runs Colombo–Malé in 1h 15m.

Best time of year for a Sri Lanka honeymoon?+

December to April for the south and west coasts — clear skies, warm water, peak luxury season. May to September is excellent for the east coast (Trincomalee, Pasikuda) at a lower price.

Are gay couples welcome?+

Yes. Luxury hotels in Sri Lanka are entirely welcoming and book same-sex honeymoons routinely. Public displays of affection are discreet in temples and rural areas, as for any couple.
