Bentota is the long-established West Coast beach town — wide pale sands, the brown Bentota River behind, and the Bawa-designed estates and hotels that made this stretch famous in the 1970s. It is the most family-friendly beach within easy reach of Colombo.
- Day 1 — Arrival. Transfer from Colombo airport (1.5h), beach afternoon.
- Day 2 — Madu River & Lunuganga. Morning river safari, afternoon Lunuganga tour, sundowners back at the hotel.
- Day 3 — Onward. Catamaran morning, transfer south to Galle.
