The Knuckles Range — Dumbara — is a UNESCO-listed mountain wilderness east of Kandy, with its own micro-climate, cloud forest, hidden villages and some of the best hiking on the island. It is where serious walkers come.

1. Day 1 — Arrival. Transfer from Kandy (1.5h), slow afternoon at your lodge.
2. Day 2 — Big hike. Full-day Knuckles trek with master guide, picnic lunch.
3. Day 3 — Mini World's End. Half-day hike, afternoon at the lodge, onward transfer.
