in Riverston?

Riverston is the quietest of Sri Lanka's high viewpoints — a 1,100-metre cliff edge at the northern end of the Knuckles, with sweeping views over Matale and the dry-zone plains. Mini World's End at Riverston is the lesser-known sibling of the more famous Horton Plains.

  1. Day 1 — Arrival. Transfer from Kandy (3h), settle in, sunset on the cliff.
  2. Day 2 — Riverston. Dawn walk, Pitawala grassland in the morning, Sera Ella afternoon.
  3. Day 3 — Onward. Transfer back via the Knuckles to Kandy or Sigiriya.
