Unawatuna is the closest beach to Galle Fort — a sheltered crescent bay protected by a reef, with calm swimming, a relaxed beach-bar scene and an easy half-hour from the fort's old walls. Once a backpacker hub, it has matured into a small luxury enclave.

1. Day 1 — Arrival. Transfer in from Colombo (2h), Jungle Beach sunset.
2. Day 2 — Galle Fort. Architecture walk, lunch inside the fort, beach afternoon.
3. Day 3 — Catamaran. Morning sail along the coast, transfer onward.
