Weligama is a wide, gentle surf bay on the south coast — the natural learner's break and home to Cape Weligama, the cliff-top resort that put the whole stretch on the luxury map. The bay sits between Ahangama and Mirissa, ten minutes from each.

1. Day 1 — Arrival. Transfer from Colombo (2.5h), cliff-top sundowners.
2. Day 2 — Surf & whales. Dawn whales from Mirissa, surf lesson back at the bay, afternoon at the pool.
3. Day 3 — Galle & onward. Morning at the fort, transfer east to Tangalle or Yala.
